The author of the bill, Congressman Adam Kinzinger, believes that the bill will provide an opportunity to train Ukrainians to fly F-15 and F-16 fighters while the presidential administration decides whether to transfer such aircraft to Ukraine.
According to experts, Ukraine needs military aircraft so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can launch an offensive - it will be difficult to do this without air support.
US Air Force Commander General Brown confirmed that the US is considering helping Ukraine bolster its air force with new Western aircraft. He admitted that it could be not only F-16s, but also French, Swedish or other aircraft.
