There Will Be No Unconditional Truce - Ilham Aliyev
Baku / 10.25.20 / Turan: “The truce cannot be unconditional. A truce is possible only after the announcement by the Armenian leadership of the withdrawal of its troops from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan,” President Ilham Aliyev said on Sunday at an operational meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the command of military formations on the front line. The performance was shown in the evening on the AzTV state television.
“The patrons of Armenia tell us: suspend military operations without preconditions. For what reason should we do this? To let them fool us with negotiations for another 27-28 years? We're tired of this. Armenia was armed and is still being armed. We have all the data on the ongoing supply of arms to Armenia. We know with what flights, from what cities they fly out and what they deliver to Yerevan,” Aliyev said.
Since the beginning of the fighting on September 27, the Azerbaijani army has destroyed and captured 300 tanks as trophies. “How does Armenia, which lives in poverty, have the money to buy these tanks? We destroyed 6 S-300 systems. Where does this weapon come from to Armenia? Everyone knows how much they cost. All this was given to them and is now being passed on for free. We will not be silent about this. We are fighting the enemy alone. The people of Azerbaijan should know under what conditions we liberate our territories. If financial, military and political assistance had not been provided to Armenia for these 27-28 years, we would have liberated our territories long ago,” Aliyev said.
He stressed that Azerbaijan does not plan to transfer military actions to the territory of Armenia. “We are fighting on our territory and we do not plan to transfer military operations to the territory of Armenia. If we wanted, we would have done it long ago,” Aliyev said. —06D-
