Two state holidays renamed in Azerbaijan
Baku/06.10.21Turan: Two state holidays were renamed in Azerbaijan. Thus, "May 28 - Republic Day" will be called "Independence Day", and "October 18 - State Independence Day" as "Independence Restoration Day".
At the same time, October 18 will still remain a holiday but a working day.
These changes are set forth in the draft Law "On Independence Day" submitted to the Parliament.
Note that the document will be considered on October 6 at a meeting of the Milli Majlis committee on legal policy and state-building Issues.—05D06-
