UNHCR ready to support Azerbaijan in refugee' return - V. Andreyeva
Baku/29.01.22/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov received UN Resident Coordinator to Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreyeva on January 29.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting Andreyeva stressed that the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is ready to support the Government of Azerbaijan for the return of Azerbaijani internally displaced persons to their native lands in line with the provisions of the tripartite statement of November 10, 2020.
In turn, Bayramov stated that during Baku's chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation an emphasis wil be laid on a number of global challenges.
Bayramov emphasized that in addition to the UNHCR, Azerbaijan also cooperates effectively with other UN agencies.
Also, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan recalled that the liberated territories of Azerbaijan were declared a green energy zone, noting that all projects here are implemented with a particular attention to environmental issues.
The meeting stressed that the Azerbaijani government is planning to hold a series of events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan's accession to the UN.
Besides, Bayramov and Andreyeva discussed cooperation in migration, goals of the Sustainable Development and other areas.-06B-
