US Ambassador visited the camp of women leaders
The US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta visited on Friday in the region of Ismayilli (170 km north-west of Baku) the Female Leadership Initiatives Camp. The Embassy reports that this week's summer camp gathered 20 students of the 8-10 grades and teachers from the seven regions of the country: Agjabadi, Shamkir, Barda, Mingachevir, Oguz, Balakan and Zagatala. The purpose of the organization of the camp is legal enlightenment of young women to discuss issues of gender equality. The participants focused on topics of leadership, teamwork, stereotypes, community projects, the ability to allocate personal goals. Representatives of the US Embassy and USAID/ Azerbaijan visited the camp, taking part in an interactive discussion. -03D04-
