US uses diplomacy to cease fire - Pompeo
Baku / 15.10.20 / Turan: The United States is using all diplomatic tools to achieve a ceasefire in Karabakh, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said at a briefing yesterday.
“We have joined our European partners and, frankly, many countries around the world, to ask for a ceasefire to begin a resolution to the conflict,” he said, when asked about US action.
According to him, the United States is concerned about reports of the death of civilians.
“We watched as Turkey began to strengthen Azerbaijan. We asked all international players to stay away from the region so as not to exacerbate the problems, and we are working on that.
We use our diplomatic toolbox to try to achieve a result that will lead to a ceasefire and a solution to the conflict based on international law. -16D-
