Washington D.C./17.05.23/Turan:    U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday did not rule out designating Russia a state sponsor of terrorism (SST) for its atrocities in Ukraine, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.

“Never say never,”  Blinken told a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing when pressed by Senator Lindsey Graham whether he would "never" add Russia to the SST list.

Blinken later highlighted the sanctions that Washington has put on Russia.

U.S. Congress has repeatedly put pressure on the Biden administration to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terror, a move that would trigger further sanctions on Moscow.
