Who will be new chairman of Supreme Court?
Baku/07.03.23/Turan: On the eve of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan held a farewell meeting with its chairman Ramiz Rzayev due to the end of his term.
According to the Supreme Court, Ramiz Rzayev expressed satisfaction with the work of his team and thanked the state, President Ilham Aliyev for the care and attention," the press release said.
Remind that Rzayev was appointed Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan on April 19, 2005.
In 2018, his powers were extended for another five years - until he reaches the age of 70, which is the limit for judges.
Note that the President appoints the chairman of the Supreme Court from among the members of the Supreme Court. At the same time, the judges of the Supreme Court are approved by the Parliament upon the proposal of the head of state. -06В-
