"Yeni Azerbaijan" to spend quarter of million manats on propaganda of its candidate
The election fund of Ilham Aliyev, a candidate for the presidency of Azerbaijan in the extraordinary elections, has announced its budget. The Central Election Commission has reported that the officially declared budget of the election fund of the incumbent President and at the same time candidate in the 7 February elections is specified at the rate of 250.000 manats.
This amount is entirely allocated by the ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan" Party which nominated its chairman I.Aliyev as the only party candidate in the extraordinary elections.
In the columns "voluntary donations" and "personal financial contribution" of the candidate there are dashes.
Of interest is the fact that having indicated the budget (250,000 manats), the foundation and CEC do not inform about the expenses of the election fund of the ruling Party. There can be two reasons: the incumbent's headquarters has not started the election campaign and, secondly, this campaign will be financed from other sources.
Recall that candidate Ilham Aliyev is the only one of the 17 contenders for the highest office in the country to announce his campaign budget.-0-
