Baku/15.11.21/Turan: The Security Council of Armenia announced the "encirclement" of 4 Armenian military positions by the Azerbaijani military on the border of the two countries.

“On one of the border sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the eastern direction, units of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, with the support of armored vehicles, invaded the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. As a result of the actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, four combat positions of the Armenian Armed Forces were surrounded,” the statement of the Armenian Security Council says,“ News of Armenia - NEWS.am ”reports.

As a result of the negotiations, the Azerbaijani military equipment and troops "left the territory of Armenia", and the units of the Armenian Armed Forces were withdrawn from the above four combat positions. "In the specified area, the Azerbaijani servicemen who invaded the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia in May continue to remain in their places," the statement said.

“As for the sections of the Goris-Kapan and Kapan-Chakaten road, which are under the control of Azerbaijan, they are not yet on the territory of the Republic of Armenia according to the documents on the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan of the Soviet years. The Armenian government has taken measures to create a new network of alternative roads in Syunik region, and these works will be completed in the near future. Not a single settlement in Armenia is deprived of a road to ensure life, ”the statement of the Security Council of Armenia further says.

The Armenian Security Council continues to emphasize "the need for a peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation, that is, a mirror withdrawal of troops from the de jure border of Soviet Armenia and Soviet Azerbaijan and the beginning of demarcation and delimitation of the border under international auspices."

“We also call on the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to intensify efforts for a peaceful and comprehensive settlement of the Karabakh conflict,” the statement of the Security Council of Armenia said. –06D-
