Youth Activist Summoned to Court

Ilkin Rustamzadeh, a member of the Free Youth, was again summonsed to the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor for Serious Crimes. He had been released on May 15 after administrative detention.

Rustamzadeh is one of the organizers of the rally in memory of the victims of terror in the Oil Academy. For attempting to organize the action in memory of the student victims, he was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.

According to Rustamzadeh, he was called by investigator Ibrahim Lemberansky, who demanded he should come today at 16:00. According to Rustamzadeh, the investigator called him as a witness, but he's going to go out there with a lawyer.

The activist believes this is caused by the case of the arrested activists of the civil movement Nida.

Seven members of Nida are under arrest - Bakhtiyar Guliyev, Mahammad Azizov, Shahin Novruzlu, Rashad Hasanov, Uzeir Mammadov, Rashadat Ahundov, and Zaur Gurbanly. They are charged with possession of explosives. The article provides for imprisonment from five to eight years. The real reason for their arrest is the organization of a protest in connection with soldiers' deaths on March 10. -16B04-
