Fake Whiskey Traders Arrested
Baku / 27.12.19 Turan: Two people were arrested as part of a criminal case on the death of two and poisoning of four more people after drinking alcohol, reads the joint message from the Ministry of Health, the Food Safety Agency and the Prosecutor General.
According to the report, residents of Baku Sarhan Bayramov and Mustafa Mustafayev were hospitalized at the Clinical Medical Center with a diagnosis of severe acute oral poisoning with methyl alcohol, where they could not be saved.
With a diagnosis of alcohol poisoning, they were hospitalized: Jalal Gamzaev, Sanan Teymurov, Elvin Teymurov and Nurlan Nabiev.
According to these facts, a lawsuit was filed a under the Articles 200.4 (consumer fraud or the production and marketing of low-quality products) and 314.2 (negligence) of the Criminal Code.
During the investigation by the Baku prosecutor’s office, reasonable suspicions arose that the head of the Baku City restaurant Fizuli Alyev and Khayal Jafarov sold the Chivas Regal 12 alcohol drinks to the Everest restaurant. The indicated persons died and suffered from the use of this drink.
Analysis of the indicated alcohol showed that the content of methyl alcohol, which has a strong toxic effect, is many times higher than the permissible norm (76.6%).
Alyev and Jafarov are held accountable under several Articles of the Criminal Code and arrested, the investigation continues. –06D-
