Leader TV Channel Declared Bankrupt
Baku / 08.20.20 / Turan: The Court of Appeal on August 19 upheld the decision of the Baku Commercial Court to declare the Leader TV channel bankrupt and appoint a property administrator there.
Recall that the claim against the TV channel was filed by the Production Association Radio-Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications of the Ministry of Communications, Transport and High Technologies. The reason for the claim is the debts of the TV company.
Note that this TV channel has been experiencing serious economic problems for many years and has ceased to receive regular subsidies from the authorities. The employees were not paid for months and many of them quit.
The TV channel was founded in 1998 and for many years remained one of the main propaganda mouthpieces of the authorities. -02D-
