The latest data on the population of Azerbaijan released
Baku/15.07.21 / Turan: As of June 1, 2021, the population of Azerbaijan was 10,135,272 people. At the same time, during January-May 2021 period,the number of country's residents country increased by 16,139, or by 0.2 percent, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports.
Of the total population, 53.0 percent are urban residents, 47.0 percent are rural residents, 49.9 percent are men and 50.1 percent are women.
At the same time, the number of economically active population of Azerbaijan amounted to 5,279, 900, including 4,929.700 employed.
As of June 1, the number of employees made up 1,677.600 people, including 911.600 people in the public sector, 766, 000 in the non-state sector. - 06B-
