Vaccinations Start with Health Officials
Baku/18.01.21/Turan: On January 18, the vaccination process against COVID-19 began with vaccinations for Azerbaijani health workers.
Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev, head of the Association for Management of Territorial Medical Units Ramin Bayramli and head of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev were vaccinated at the Baku Health Center.
The Azerbaijani government has preferred the CoronaVac vaccines of the Chinese manufacturer SinoVac. A contract was signed for the purchase of 4 million doses.
According to Teymur Musayev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, the effectiveness of the CoronaVac vaccine is 91.25%. — 06D-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
