Professional Experience

Alex Raufoglu is the chief U.S. correspondent for Turan News Agency.

He worked extensively in the South Caucasus and Black Sea regions for several international broadcast outlets, such as RFE/RL, VoA, BBC, and others; prepared features, audio/video stories covering democracy, media, and other freedoms, as well as regional peace and security.

Since 2008, Raufoglu has lived in Washington D.C., where he worked as a journalist for several media outlets.

Raufoglu serves as a board member of The Association of Foreign Press Correspondents in the United States.
