A competition for the best project for the improvement of the village of Buzovna
Baku/03.05.21/Turan: The Main Department of Urban Development and Architecture of Baku has announced the second stage of the competition "Architectural appearance of Absheron villages".
At this stage, projects will be adopted for the village of Buzovna - an ancient settlement located in the northeast of the peninsula. The purpose of the competition is to identify the best architectural and planning solution for this Apsheron village.
The main principles of the projects for the competition should be: improving the aesthetic appearance and improving the quality of life, original solutions that take into account local architecture and climatic features, the protection of historical heritage.
The village of Buzovna is rich in architectural monuments: the tower fortress (15-16 centuries), “The Sanctuary of Black Clothes (1306),“ The Tomb of Caliph Ali and Muhammad Momin ”(1641), the Sanctuary of Seyid Gasim, Sheikh Javad, Seyid Gulshan, Friday Mosque (19th century) , Sahib al-Zaman Mosque (17th century), Mashadi Garib Mosque (19th century), Imam Hasan (a) Mosque (19th century), the famous pilgrimage site of Hazrat Ali (Ali Ayagi), Mehdigulu Bey's House (19th century), public baths (19 century) and an ancient cemetery.
Submission of documents is until May 31, and projects - until July 5.
Competition works will be judged by a jury. The winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 manats. For the second place, the prize will be 5,000 manats, for two third places - 2,500 manats.
Incentive prizes and certificates are also provided.
At the first stage of the competition, projects for Amirjan, Raman and Pirshagi were presented. –06D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality.
