Alleged producer of the film "Innocence of Muslims" arrested
The U.S. authorities announced the arrest of the man allegedly behind the production of the film "Innocence of Muslims".
On Thursday, the district attorney of Los Angeles reported that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is under arrest and will be promptly brought before a federal judge. According to the latest data, he has been sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Nakula acted under the pseudonym "Sam Bessil", when he made the film "Innocence of Muslims."
The film, which negatively depicts the Prophet Muhammad, offended the feelings of many Muslims, and triggered a wave of anti-American protests, as a result of which dozens of people died, including the ambassador and three U.S. diplomats in Libya. -02D-
