Chingiz Mustafayev will represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2019
Baku / 09.03.19 / Turan: At the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Azerbaijan will be represented by singer and composer Chingiz Mustafayev, reported the Public Broadcasting Company.
The singer will perform on the song "Truth" ("Truth") by the Bulgarian-Austrian composer Borislav Milanov.
"I confess, I was not convinced that Truth" suits Chingiz, because he loves flamenco and guitar more. However, after a personal acquaintance, my opinion completely changed. He is an incredibly passionate musician and singer. Together we added an oriental feeling to his national style," said Milanov.
It should be noted that the author's song was chosen during a national qualifying tour, organized by Public Television in January of this year, among 350 works sent from different countries.
"Truth" is a song about stinging love. There is no place for truth. One of the couple betrayed love, and puts the other before the choice to accept the situation as it is or dispel the illusion of love.
Chingiz Mustafayev, who is seriously preparing for Eurovision-2019, changed his style and distanced from flamenco and guitar. Chingiz Mustafayev was born in Moscow. At the age of six, he moved to Gazakh with his family. As a teenager, I already played the guitar and composed songs.
Later he moved to Baku with his mother and brother. Here he became the winner of the Azerbaijani version of the program "Pop Idol", gaining recognition and popularity.
The singer represented Azerbaijan in 2013 at the new wave competition in Jurmala. In 2016, he participated in the project "Voice of Ukraine". Chingis loves dogs and traveling, meditates in the open air, practices kung fu, and enjoys cycling. -06D--

Cinema has always been a mirror reflecting life’s complexities, and occasionally, it serves as a silent witness revealing profound truths. On December 25, the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku hosted a remarkable celebration of storytelling and creativity. Organized by the Azerbaijan Film Union, the event marked the conclusion of the “Dreams of Color in Black and White Letters” project, showcasing the short feature film Məhkəmə (The Trial), directed by Rovshan Isakh. More than a film premiere, the evening celebrated a collaborative journey of learning and artistic achievement.

The glamour of the silver screen often conceals the unspoken struggles of actresses, especially as they age. Behind the bright lights and applause lies a reality marked by stereotypes, societal pressures, and diminishing opportunities. For many actresses, the passage of time not only challenges their personal identities but also threatens their professional survival in an industry fixated on youth and conventional standards of beauty.
