On April 14-19, Baku will host the fifth music festival of contemporary music to the outstanding Azerbaijani composer 20th century, Qara Qarayev (1918-1982 biennium.) With the assistance of the composer Elmira Mirzoeva, choreographic group from Cologne - Avatar Dance Company will come to the festival, and will present a choreographic by Enns Kagel accompanied by an accordionist, Eva Zolner.
In addition, the Baku ensemble John Tempo will perform under the guidance of the Ukrainian conductor, Vladimir Runtchaka.
Among the guests of the festival is also a German pianist, Nikolaus Rexroth and musicians from Strasbourg and Amsterdam.
The German Embassy in Baku will organize performance of Eva Zolner in the Chapel house on April 12. -02D-

On February 11, the Ritual Theatre and Creative Laboratory in Baku hosted a powerful documentary theatre performance, “The Melting Snow Stories of Baku,” marking the conclusion of a workshop dedicated to site-specific theatre. This workshop brought together 15 artists from various age groups, all exploring the transformative power of storytelling to address climate change. The event was directed by British theatre director Sebastian Harcombe of SECRET/HEART Theatre Company and Aynur Zərrintac of Ritual Theatre. It was supported by the British Council.
