New monograph by Jamil Hasanli published in Moscow
The Moscow publishing house Science and the printing house Flint jointly issued a scientific monograph by the famous Azerbaijani historian and public figure Jamil Hasanli, Alimardan Bey Topchibashev: Life for the Idea.
This is the seventh book by Hasanli published in Russia for the last 8 years. Twenty-eight monographs by the scientist have been published in different countries.
The personality of Alimardan Bbey Topchibashev is of considerable interest for the Russian reader, because he studied in St. Petersburg and was a member of the Russian State Duma and leader of the Russian Muslim movement.
The monograph includes some interesting and unique information about Topchibashev's life and his relationship with other prominent figures of the Muslim movement, Ismail Bey Gasprinsky, Sadri Maksudov, Mohammed Tevkelov, Galiasker Syrtlanov, Musa Bighiyev and others.
Topchibashev was the only Russian Muslim leader who visited all corners of the Empire, where the Muslim population lived and was interested in their issues and problems.
The monograph also discusses the role and merits of Topchibashev in the formation of the Azerbaijani national idea of the national movement, its relations and cooperation with such famous figures as Mamed Emin Rasulzadeh, Hasan Zardabi, Alibek Huseynzadeh and Ahmed Bey Agaoglu.
The 600-page monograph consists of 12 chapters and informs readers about the historical period of approximately 50 years.
Among the milestones of this period were the events in Baku in 1917-1918, the March Massacre, the Istanbul mission and the period in Paris as Head of the Mission of Azerbaijan to the peace conference.
Also reflected in the monograph are 14 years of his life in exile and his family drama. For the Azerbaijani readers this book also has a great educational value, and it is also important for all those who study the history of Azerbaijan . -05D-
