The Embassy of Poland and the Tourism Agency have prepared the route "Polish Heritage in Azerbaijan"
Baku/17.02.21/Turan: The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Azerbaijan and the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan prepared and presented the tourist route "Polish Heritage in Azerbaijan" on Wednesday. The route is designed for Polish tourists and its main purpose is to introduce the guests of the country to the buildings in Baku built by Polish architects. In addition to the capital of Azerbaijan, tourists will also visit Ganja, Shamakhi, Zagatala and Gusar.
The project was represented by Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Sevda Mammadaliyeva and Ambassador of Poland Rafal Poborski. A brochure in English and a film posted on Youtube have been prepared to present the route to Polish tourists. These resources showcase the creations of Polish architects Goslavsky, Ploshko, Skurevich, Skibinsky and others.
According to architect Elchin Aliyev, who studies Polish architecture in Azerbaijan, 17 architects from Poland built more than 80 remarkable buildings in Baku at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, E. Aliyev said at the presentation. These are the buildings of the Executive Power of Baku, the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences - Ismailia, Taghiyev's Palace, Mukhtarov's Palace, the building of a Muslim women's school, many residential buildings in the historical part of the city and several mosques.
Joseph Goslavsky worked for 12 years (1892-1904), until his illness and death, as the chief architect of Baku. For four years (1909-1913) the Pole Konstantin Borisoglebsky was the chief architect of Baku. The master plan of Elizavetpol (Ganja) was developed by Ignatiy Kshishtalovich, Pavel Kognovitsky designed the Tagiev Theater. Other Polish architects worked in Azerbaijani government departments. In memory of them, in our time in Baku, one of the streets in the Sabail region is called "the street of Polish architects," E. Aliyev said.

Cinema has always been a mirror reflecting life’s complexities, and occasionally, it serves as a silent witness revealing profound truths. On December 25, the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku hosted a remarkable celebration of storytelling and creativity. Organized by the Azerbaijan Film Union, the event marked the conclusion of the “Dreams of Color in Black and White Letters” project, showcasing the short feature film Məhkəmə (The Trial), directed by Rovshan Isakh. More than a film premiere, the evening celebrated a collaborative journey of learning and artistic achievement.

The glamour of the silver screen often conceals the unspoken struggles of actresses, especially as they age. Behind the bright lights and applause lies a reality marked by stereotypes, societal pressures, and diminishing opportunities. For many actresses, the passage of time not only challenges their personal identities but also threatens their professional survival in an industry fixated on youth and conventional standards of beauty.

In the bustling streets of Baku, where fashion is as dynamic as the city's skyline, a quiet revolution is taking place. Despite Azerbaijan's strides in waste management, the issue of clothing and textile waste persists, casting a long shadow over environmental progress.
