Statement of the head of the CMD is a message of the Russian Federation of Turkey
Baku/28.07.21 / Turan: A statement of the head of the Caucasian Muslims Department, Allahshukyur Pashazade, in Shusha that "Khamenei's Fatwa" Karabakh is the land of Islam" has become a herald of our victory;" wiretapping of phones of journalists, politicians and human rights activists; personnel changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and other issues were analyzed in the program "Difficult Question" by political observer Arastun Orujlu.
Note that Orujlu did not rule out that the statement of the CMD head is a message addressed to the Turkey which is backed by Russia.
Touching upon a scandal related to the Pegasus program, the observer said that Azerbaijan's acquisition of this program from Israel was not new for him.
"I wrote about the fact that Azerbaijan buys technologies and equipment from Israel for surveillance over its own citizens worth $450 million as far back as in January 2017. The government of Azerbaijan is keeping silent on the issue and the reason for this is clear. The government has nothing to say, especially as Israel itself recognized the fact of Azerbaijan's acquisition of Pegasus," Orujlu noted.
As for the recent personnel perturbations in the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan and, in particular, the appointment of Kerim Veliyev as chief of the General Staff, Orujlu said that the consistency of this decision with Russia is obvious. However, in his opinion, there was a certain compromise in the matter which, by the way, Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned after a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
What is the compromise? The political observer assumes that two appointments have been made by Azerbaijan independently, on the one hand, and two agreed with Russia, on the other. For example, a person with an extremely tarnished reputation, Nizam Osmanov, has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense - as a head of the Main Logistics Department which is extremely important."This is a henchman of Kremlin," - says Arastun Orujlu. -0—
