AmCham provided support to low-income families
The American Chamber of Commerce "AmCham" took part in the project "GateKeeping" implemented in cooperation with World Vision Azerbaijan and UAFA.
In this project, children with disabilities living in low-income families by social workers and UAFA centers in Baku and Lankaran Siyazan were given 77 tablets, 10 laptops from the company Deloitte & Touche, 2 PCs from the company BESTCOMP, 10 USB modems from the company Azerfon, 7 USB modems from the company Bakcell, and 5 USB modems from the company Azercell.
Some of the equipment (15 tablets) was given at a rehabilitation center in Baku Nizami rayoneo and the remainder will be distributed to needy families in the areas of Siyazan, Lankaran and Khachmaz.
The Chairman of the Committee and senior ICT manager of the Department for services in the field of risk management in the Deloitte & Touche Tural Hajiyev, head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications Nigar Arpadairi, and an expert in corporate communications at Azercell Telecom Nigar Shykhhlinskaya thanked UAFA, World Vision and members of the ICT the Committee for the opportunity to help children and families who really need support.

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
