Approved Fee for Examination of Trademark Claim Documents
Cabinet of Ministers approved on August 14 the fee for service within the claim documents the examination of trademarks and geographical indicators. Examination is carried out by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
Examination is carried out in two stages. Preliminary examination of claim documents for registration of trademarks and geographical indicators, depending on their color data will be evaluated in 40 (black and white) and 50 manats (color). With their expertise, the card will be 130 and 160 manat respectively. In the event that the client will require an examination for one month, that is to pay an additional 120 manats.
Reception and forwarding of claim documents for registration of trademarks on the international system will cost their owners 40 manats.
In July of 2012 in Azerbaijan enacted a law "On Amendments to the Law" On Trademarks and Geographical Indicators." This decree of the Cabinet of Ministers is aimed at implementing the law issued a year ago. - 08D-
