Azerbaijan Begins to Use Building Material Prolonging Service Life of Roads
JSC Azeryolservis has started to use a special building material extending the life of roads in repairs. For the first time the material Polymer Composite E-Krete was used in the repair of the section of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh (the state border of Georgia) highway from the 14th km to the settlement of Gobustan, the press service of the company said.
On the surface of an asphalt concrete pavement, a layer of E-Krete is spread 3-4 mm thick. This is sufficient to eliminate the small cracks formed on the top. Within 5-10 years, no additional operating costs are required on these roads. This material is resistant to both heat and frost.
E-Krete is produced by the American company Polycon and has been tested in the United States, Canada, Singapore and other countries. ----08D
