Azerbaijan Customs Detain 18,000 Contraband Cigarettes and 142 Liters of Vodka
At the customs post Sinig Corpu in the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan the law enforcers detained a large consignment of contraband cigarettes and vodka, according to the Customs Committee.
According to Turan, as a result of inspection of a minibus en route from Georgia, the law enforcers found 244 bottles of 0.5 liters and 20 bottles of 1 liter of vodka produced abroad. They also found 18,000 cigarettes of foreign brands.
The report said the goods were sealed without excise stamps of the Republic of Azerbaijan and belonged to an Azerbaijani citizen, who was in the minibus as a passenger. -----72D
