Azerbaijan is preparing to raise prices for high-octane gasoline?
Baku/11.07.22/Turan: Azerbaijan is likely to raise prices for high-octane gasoline AI-95 ("premium") and AI-98 ("super") in the coming days.
Such a conclusion suggests itself from the materials of the pro-government mass media which, as if on command, have written on this topic. In particular, there are reports on the sharp increase in world prices and Azerbaijan's dependence on imports of premium gasoline.
At the same time, no one wants to go into the reasons why the oil-producing country has not established production of these fuels so far.
The last time the prices for these brands of gasoline rose on September 15, 2021. Thus, the price for gasoline AI-95 rose from AZN 1.45 to AZN 1.6 per liter and AI-98 from AZN 1.6 to AZN 1.9 per liter respectively.
At the same time, the media reassures the population that gasoline AI-92 and diesel fuel will not increase in price and the assumed rise will not cause a new wave of price hikes. -06В-
