Azerbaijan occupies 81st place in the world in energy stability rating
Azerbaijan has occupied the 81st place in the Energy Stability Rating of The World Energy Council (WEC) among 129 world countries. The rating is available at the official web site of the Council.
The WEC report reads that the index is based on the comparative analysis of the energy situation in the country and three factors, including energy safety, accessibility of power to population and environmental safety of the energy field.
The countries have been rated from A to D depending on their successes and Azerbaijan has gotten a total BCD rating.
According to the report, Azerbaijan occupied the 32nd place on energy safety, being ahead of Armenia (95th place) and Georgia (106th place). Turkey has occupied the 64th place on the list.
Azerbaijan is on the 74th place in the rating of accessibility of power to population. Azerbaijan has occupied the 98th place in the environmental stability rating.
Five countries have the AAA rating this year: Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, UK and Spain.
WEC is the UN accredited agency and it unites the leaders and experts in field of energy promoting accessible, stable and environmentally clean power systems.—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
