Until end of 2013 Gasprom and CNPC could sign gas contract
Until the end of 2013 Gasprom intends to sign a contract to deliver gas to China, confirmed Gasprom President Aleksei Miller.
“This is our goal,” he told journalists and when asked if Gasprom is more confident after the talks in Peking, he said we have a formula and we have made a decision.
It was earlier reported that until end of 2013 Gasprom and Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) plan to sign the contract to deliver gas via the eastern route. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Gasprom and CNPC have already agreed on the formula of the price and they have been discussing conditions of technical deliveries. Russian Energy Minister hopes that if the contract is signed this year, the deliveries could start in 2018-2020 reaching a maximum volume of 38 billion cub.m. of gas a year.—0—
