Bakcell to unify its core voice network
BAKU/17.10.13/TURAN : The mobile operator Bakcell continues to invest in its network , with the aim of providing its customers the best quality data services and voice services.
As the company says , it is in collaboration with Huawei ( the world's leading supplier of solutions in the field of ICT) , has successfully completed a project to unify its core network . The harmonization of the domain voice network was launched in late 2012 , and in August of this year, all voice traffic served by a new , highly potent and fully redundant switching equipment .
The new unified core network is based on the platform of advanced telecom computing architecture (AdvancedTCA) - mature and reliable platform for next-generation telecommunications equipment . The new network , which has a high capacity and high flexibility , Bakcell will meet the expectations of customers and provide them with the best quality services.
The new unified network is fully compatible with the LTE technology and is ready for the provision of voice services over LTE in the future. "Our strategy is to deploy the best networking technology to provide customers with the best network performance Bakcell. In order to improve the best customer experience , and provide best-in- class availability and quality of services, we have implemented a number of projects this year . The unified core network , which is one of the projects makes the network Bakcell most advanced in the Azerbaijani market and demonstrates the readiness of our network systems to the introduction of any technology in the future , "said Yigit Berktash , CTO Bakcell.
Bakcell has also carried out a project on technology pooling and built a strong network with geographical redundancy. Technology pooling provide automatic exchange of traffic between the elements of the switching network , and the availability of service in disaster scenarios .
As previously reported , Bakcell has upgraded the entire transmission network in order to increase network capacity and transition to technology MPLS-TP, through a series of equipment Huawei OSN. - 17D-

Data on Azerbaijan's oil exports for January-October 2024 reveals a significant drop in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, highlighting the challenges facing the oil-dependent economy. The country exported 495,484.05 tons of oil products worth $309.02 million, a decrease of 40.3% in value and 40.7% in volume compared to 2023, when exports totaled 925,225.07 tons worth $572.21 million.
