Bank of Azerbaycan increases net profit fivefold
JSC Bank of Azerbaycan for the first half 2013 had net profit after tax of 8.54 million manat, which is 5 times more than the same period in 2012. The bank's earnings were equal to 22.5 million manat, and expenses were 13.96 million manat, increasing respectively by 88.6% and 34.8%.
Total assets increased from January to June by 32%, amounting to 347.63 million manat. The volume of issued and corporations loans increased by 38.9% and amounted to 299.34 million manat.
The deposit portfolio increased by 17.83% to 181.05 million manat, including demand deposits increased by 23.78% to 74.76 million manat.
Paid charter capital increased by 10.4% reaching the level of 50 million manat. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
