BP Resumes Oil Production from Platform after Maintenance Work
BP (operator for the development of the oilfield block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli) has resumed production from the platform on Deep Water Gunashli, a source in BP-Azerbaijan reported.
‘The platform was stopped on September 1 for maintenance works. These works were completed on September 11 and on the morning of September 12 the oil production was resumed,’ the source in the company noted.
According to the source in the company, the production from the platform will be gradually increased to achieve the performance index that was before the suspension of the work for repairs.
As it was reported, in the first half of 2016 the platform Deepwater Gunashli produced an average of 136,000 barrels per day.
In 2015, the oil production from ACG amounted to 31.3 million tons. -12D--
