CNPC interested in participation in SOCAR’s projects
Chinese CNPC company is interested in participation in a wide range of projects of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), said member of CNPC Board Van Shu Khon during the meeting with SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.
He said China watches closely stable development of Azerbaijan’s economy.
“Various funds and Chinese Ex-Im Banks are interested in Azerbaijan, especially its energy sector,” said Van Shu Khon.
During the meeting SOCAR has presented the project of gas refining and petrochemical complex (OGPC).
* CNPC is the biggest oil and gas company of China with the headquarters based in Peking. The company occupied the fourth place in Fortune Global-500.
Since 2002 CNPC has joined Kyursengi and Garabagly oil producing projects in Salyan region of Azerbaijan, 120 km south of Baku, where its share constitutes 50%.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
