On November 1, Azerbaijan was home to 9 million 687.3 thousand people (+1% or +94.3 thousand to the beginning of the year) with a density of 112 people per square kilometer.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the majority of the population (53.1%) live in cities. Women constitute insignificant majority (50.2%).
During the reporting period 138.4 thousand babies were born, among which 53.3% were boys. The death rate per thousand people was 5.7 - from January to November, 45,500 people died. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
