Electronic audit system will reduce the time of tax audits by 2-3 times

However, he added that Azerbaijan has introduced amendments to legislation for the introduction of e-audit.
According to the Resident Coordinator of the project Leendert Kersey, the Netherlands Tax Administration has produced 12 recommendations for the introduction of e-audit. However, he identified four key recommendations: e-audit should remain an integral part of the Ministry of Taxes, to create a central office Taxes special structure for e-audit, to continue training for staff of the Ministry of Taxes in the field of e-audit, should be prepared to e-specialized auditors on individual industries.
According to the project manager, adviser to the Minister of taxes Asaf Asadov, test validation in the e-audit shopping sites allowed in a very short period of time, 15 days, to identify all possible risks associated with tax evasion.
As previously reported, the implementation of twinning project to implement an electronic audit in Azerbaijan began in March 2011.
Consultant to the Ministry in the implementation of this system is a tax administration of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The cost of a project funded by the European Commission - EUR 1 million.
The project includes six components: the preparation of the legal framework necessary for the implementation of electronic audit software selection, the creation of an electronic database for audit, training methodology and provide training to e-auditors, the development of the introduction of electronic accounting practices applied by medium and large enterprises, the introduction of electronic audit system in Azerbaijan.
