Excise Taxes for Tobacco Products Increased
Baku/10.03.21/Turan: On March 10, new excise rates for tobacco products and liquid for electronic cigarettes came into force in Azerbaijan.
The excise tax on 1,000 pieces of thin cigarettes has been increased from 31 to 43 manats, and for 1,000 pieces of cigarettes - from 31 to 35 manats. The excise tax on liquid for electronic cigarettes has been increased 5 times and amounted to 100 manats per liter.
Note that the excise rate on the import of 1,000 pieces of thin cigarettes is 29.5 manats, 1,000 pieces of cigarettes - 37.5 manats. -----08B

Natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria have been temporarily suspended due to technical reasons from January 6, 2025, Turan reports. Bulgarian «Bulgargaz» Energy Company has announced the suspension, noting that supplies are expected to resume on January 11, 2025.
