External Trade Turnover Fell by Almost $ 4 Billion due to Decrease in Oil Production
In January-June foreign trade turnover of entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan amounted to $ 13 billion 891.6 million. This is almost $ 4 billion less than in the first half of 2014 (mainly due to falling oil exports). Exports accounted for $ 9 billion 193 million, and imports - $ 4 billion 494 400 000.
According to the State Statistics Committee, legal and natural persons of 138 countries participated in the operations and products were exported to 88 and imported from 123 countries. In the first place, there was Europe – 45, with 41 for Asia and 25 for the New World.
The leading positions in export are crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas, followed by agricultural products, products made of aluminum and plastic and chemicals. In imports in the first place are food, ferrous metals and products made of them, as well as cars, machinery, electrical equipment, motor vehicles and spare parts. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
