From January to July oil export dropped by 8.2%, 9.3% in money equivalent
According to the meters of the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee, from January to July 2012 crude oil export totaled 21,142,000 tons. During the same period last year oil export totaled 23,043,000.
The declared volume of Azerbaijani oil export totaled 14,279,000 to the amount of $12,100,000,000. From January to July 2011 16,586,000 tons of oil to the amount of $13,351,000,000 was exported on the basis of customs declarations.
Of total volume of export 1,138,000 tons was exported via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline (1,167,000 during the same period last year) and 2,177,000 tons (2,196,000 tons) via the Baku-Supsa pipeline. During this period 17,024,000 tons of oil (19,031,000 tons) was exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and 585,485 tons (647,902 tons) by railway.
* In 2011 the declared volume of oil export from Azerbaijan totaled 37,045,000 tons. Of this volume 27,825,000 tons of oil to the amount of $22,911,000,000 was exported on the basis of customs declarations.-0--

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
