GDP per Capita in Azerbaijan Fell by a Third
In 2015, the volume of gross domestic product (the main indicator of the national economy) in Azerbaijan amounted to 54 billion 352.1 million manats. The State Statistics Committee estimated that in comparable prices, GDP grew by 1.1%.
According to estimates of Turan, stable prices in the volume of GDP in Azerbaijan in 2015 decreased by 7.9% or 4.6 billion manats.
The SSC also defined the volume of GDP in US dollars, which was estimated at $ 52 billion 969.6 million.
The production of GDP per capita in Azerbaijan in 2015 amounted to 5,703.7 manats, decreasing over the year, according to estimates of SSC, by 0.1%, although according to the same official figures, in 2014 per capita GDP at the then current prices reached 7,092.8 manats.
In US dollars per capita GDP in 2015 was $ 5,558.7, or minus $ 2,427.3, or - 30.4%. For comparison, we note that Azerbaijan dropped on this indicator to about the level of 2010 ($ 5,798).
In the non-oil sector GDP production was 37.6 billion manats, increasing by 1.1%. The share of non-oil sector in GDP rose to the level of 69.3%. However, this resulted mainly from the fall in the oil industry.
