Government to allocate 15,000 AZN from the state budget to families of died oilmen
The families of oilmen died and went missing as a result of the accident on the platform No 10 of the Guneshli field will receive the assistance of 15,000 AZN.
According to the state news agency Azertaj, the decree was signed yesterday by Azerbaijani Premier Artur Rasizada.
The financial aid will be allocated from the Reserve Fund of the state budget for fiscal year 2015.
SOCAR has been instructed to pay compensations to the families of dead and missing oilmen and also make sure that the wounded oilmen receive treatment and rehabilitation.
Finance and Labor Ministries have been instructed to ensure that the injured oilmen and the families of died oilmen receive reimbursement according to insurance contract concluded with SOCAR.
On December 4, 2015 at 5.40 p.m. the gas line went out of order on the offshore stationary platform on the Guneshli field. Bad weather conditions created problems for the rescue ships. 33 people have been rescued. Bodies of seven oilmen have been found and identified. Search for 23 more oilmen is in progress.
On December 4, 2015 at 12.30 p.m. three more oilmen died on SOCAR’s offshore field Neft Dashlary while performing their duty. Strong wind has torn the booth, where the oilmen were working, and threw it into the sea. Body of only one of them has been found.-0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
