Heritage Foundation: Azerbaijan Remains "Moderately Non-Free"
The American Heritage Foundation jointly with the publication The Wall Street Journal published the traditional annual index of economic freedoms in the world.
Index was determined by the 10 criteria: business freedom, trade, investment, labor market, the level of corruption, ease of taxation, etc.
In the list, the countries were categorized as "free", "generally free", "relatively free", "partly free", "absolutely free".
According to the Index of 2013, Azerbaijan ranks 88th with a status of "partly free" country. At the same time, Georgia has 21 seats with the status "mostly free", and Armenia - 38th with similar status.
The list ranks Hong Kong in first place, second – Singapore, and third - Australia, all three countries have maintained the same positions as last year. North Korea ranks last. -16D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
