ILO to pay wage to 15 Azerbaijanis
Salary of 15 young unemployed graduates in Azerbaijan for six months will be paid by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
The terms of a pilot project to support young people in employment. According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Salim Muslimov at the presentation of the program, young people make up more than 30% of the population, where not every college graduate is competitive when choosing a job. In most cases, the employer gives preference to individuals with experience and skills, and those recently graduated from high school are unemployed, he said. The unemployment rate among young people in Azerbaijan aged 15 - 24 year is 13.5% with a total of 5%.
Muslimov noted that within the framework the program 15 unemployed people with higher education, registered in the Employment Center Baku will get jobs. Contracts will be signed with employers. At the same time wages for six months will be paid by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the form of grants.
According to the director of the ILO office in Asia and Eastern Europe Dmitrina Dmitrova, Azerbaijan has ratified 56 ILO Conventions, there is progress, but there are still problems.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today.
