In 2013 Kazakh oil refineries refined 14.3 million tons of oil
In 2013 Kazakh oil refineries refined 14,296 million tons of crude oil, reported Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency referring to the materials of the expanded session of the Kazakh Ministry of Oil and Gas in Astana attended by Premier Serik Ahmetov.
According to the same materials, three oil refineries – Atyrau, Shimkent and Pavlodar – have ensured this volume of refining.
According to the Ministry, last year 2,688,000 tons of gasoline (94% against 2012), 4,075,000 tons of diesel fuel (98.7% against 2012), 3,473,000 tons of black oil (97.2% against 2012) and 408,000 tons of aviation kerosene (97.1% against 2012) was produced of total volume of refined oil.
Oilnews.kz reported that the reason of reduction of oil refining and oil products manufacture is uncontrollable import of light oil products, which has led to reduction of volume of shipment from Kazakh oil refineries and as a result overstocking of reservoir parks of the refineries.
Since May 2013 the Kazakh government has introduced the limit to delivery of oil products from Russia.—0—
