Increasing Number of Applications to Centralized Credit Register at CBA
In January-September, the number of calls to the centralized credit register at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBA) amounted to 2,353,885 (+ 2.1% as of 1 October last year – 2,304,678 queries).
Growth by 50,000 for a year is an indicator of the bank customers’ interest in acquiring mostly consumer loans.
For the reporting period the register contains information about 10,427,408 credit histories of 2,505,575 borrowers and 1,184,202 of their guarantors. --17D-

While overall figures edged lower, the sectoral breakdown reveals notable disparities between the oil and gas sphere and non-oil industries.

Azerbaijan’s industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs reported a modest 1.1% year-on-year increase in industrial production during 2024, reaching an output valued at 64.1 billion manat. The State Statistics Committee attributed the overall growth to a 0.5% expansion in the oil and gas sector, while non-oil and gas industries surged by 7.3%.
