KazTransGas significantly increased profit in 2013
During 2013 consolidated profit of a group of KazTransGas companies of Kazakhstan totaled 51 billion tenge (about $2.9 billion), up 66% against the plan and up 80% against 2012, Serik Sultangali, General Director KazTransGas, said.
He said the Beyneu-Bozoy-Shimkent gas pipeline’s section Bozoy-Shimkent 1143 km-long was put into operation in September 2013. KazTransGas uses the entire volume of gas pumped via this pipeline for the southern regions of Kazakhstan. At present Bozoy-Shimkent pipeline allows transporting 2.5 billion cub.m. of gas a year. The new pipeline allows supplying with gas over 500 settlements located along the gas pipeline.
Among another achievements of KazTransGas in 2013 were the projects of gasification of Almaty and its suburbs (661-km-long gas pipeline was laid and 12,000 new customers were connected), Shimkent city (515-km-long gas pipelines and 6,984 gas regulating boxes were installed), Taraz city (182 km of pipeline and 3,392 gas regulating boxes installed) and Zaysan city (the first part of the project launched).
The projects of launching of the reconstructed compressor workshop No 4 on Makat compressor station and beginning of construction of C branch of the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline have been also mentioned.
Gas transportation via the gas pipelines totaled 110.14 billion cub.m. (109.19 cub.m. in 2012).
In 2013 gas sales totaled 11,998,000,000 cub.m., up 3.6% against 2012.
Last year a group of companies KazTransGas paid taxes worth 60 billion tenge .—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
