Number of Azerigas’ subscribers totals about 1.93 million
By August 1, 2016 total number of customers of Azerigas (SOCAR’s gas distribution company) reached 1,928,997.
SOCAR reported that in July 2016 the company registered 10,263 new customers from the population, of which 2,417 customers were registered in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron region and 7,846 customers in the regions.
By August 1, 2016 131,257 families of displaced people are supplied with gas on privileged conditions, 365 mosques and other religious objects in Azerbaijan are supplied with gas free of charge.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
