Preparing new standards of design construction activities
Azerbaijan prepares new design code for various types of construction activities. The State Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning Research Institute commissioned this work of construction and architecture.
According to the register of agreements on public procurement, the institution will develop design standards of tunnel rail and roads, drainage systems and structures, concrete and reinforced concrete hydraulic structures, including reinforcement of cement structures.
Specialists Research Institute of Construction and Architecture will prepare a design code for buildings and rooms for offices and organizations, industrial buildings, as well as thermal protection of buildings.
The Institute is also requested to prepare a manual for the design and development of a methodology for calculating the effective design schemes of high-rise, earthquake resistant buildings, constructed on the basis of steel structures.
Waste limestone has been widely used as a part of the pavement lately. Experts note that it improves the quality and service life of asphalt roads. Now the Committee is exploring the possibility of using this waste as a part of artificial masonry material.
The total amount of contracts to develop the above building regulations is about 200,000 manat.
Note that the law "On Public Procurement" prohibits the purchasing organization providing contacts subordinate organization. Research Institute of Construction and Architecture is part of the Committee. At the Committee also act the State Project Institute Azermemarlayihe and the Baku State Project Institute. --08B--
