Primary market share grew in the first quarter by 5.3 times

The total turnover of transactions on all instruments at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in January-April 2013 amounted to 2,143.142 million manat, which is 41.8% less than it was in the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to the BSE, the share of government securities in the reporting period had 89.7% of all transactions.

The decline in stock sales occurred at the expense of the government securities market decreased in 40.2%. The turnover of transactions in the primary market of notes decreased 2.5 times. The volume of REPO transactions decreased 46.2%.

The corporate securities market increased 2.9 times. Operations on the initial public offering of bonds increased by 36.8%, while the volume of secondary transactions in bonds - by 55.6%. Primary market share increased 5.3 times, and secondary market - 4.3 times. The number of transactions in the primary market increased from 31 to 136, and the secondary - from 1154 to 1175. - 15D -
