In July, the insurance companies - members of the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance (ISB) dealing with 1702 the requirements of the citizens paid 2,340 262.8 manat. According to the official report of the Bureau of compensation made under compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners to third parties (CTP).

The highest percentage of payments was due to damage to motor vehicles - 2 192 493.58 AZN on 1,618 insurance cases. Damage to property is estimated at 64 769.22 manat as a result of 42 accidents, damage to health - to 38,000 manats (33 cases), deaths - 45 000 manats on 9 occasions.

The members of the Bureau, in the first half of the year paid on the basis of 9439 requirements 13.1 mln at CTP.

As previously reported, in Azerbaijan since December 16, 2011, the sale of insurance policies for CTP is on the new tariffs and conditions.

Bureau members at the moment are 11 companies: Azersigorta, AXA MBASK, Ateshgah, Xalq Sigorta, Standard Insurance, Pasha Sigorta, AzSigorta, Mega Sigorta, Ata Sigorta, Ipek Yolu Sigorta and Azerbaijan Senaye Sigorta. The company Alfa Sigorta was deprived of its license by the Ministry of Finance for alleged violation of terms of the preparation and submission of documentation.

By law, cases of non-payment of CTP insurance are not provided. A passenger or a pedestrian that is injured in action or even drunk, escaped from the scene or has committed an intentional accident the driver, and the driver for driving without a license (if he was the owner of the vehicle) is entitled to receive compensation. Another thing is that entities responsible for a traffic accident shall be liable for the commission of an unlawful act.
